Rundle takes its name from the Rundle mountain range in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada, where my wife and I got married. The mountains represent more than a landscape: space, fresh air, calm and a genuine connection to nature. That feeling sits behind every Rundle project, not by copying a look, but by asking how a home can bring the same clarity into everyday life, wherever it's built.

I'm Andrew Brown, a RIBA/ARB-registered architect with twenty years' experience in residential design, and founder of Rundle Design. I set up Rundle to bring a more personal, considered service to clients, guiding a project from the first conversation and initial sketch through planning, technical design and on to a completed home.
My work is grounded in natural materials, considered proportions and restrained detailing, buildings that sit comfortably within their setting rather than competing with it. Whatever the brief, the aim is the same: to turn an individual client and a particular place into a home that responds to both — how they live, and where they're building.
That's also why the approach is Passivhaus-informed and AECB-aligned: fabric-first, energy-conscious architecture designed for comfort, durability and long-term value, not just how a home looks on the day it's finished.
However a project starts, a conversation, a sketch, a plot of land, it's one dedicated architect and one continuous design approach, from the first idea through to the finished home.
